See it move
The story trailer: one commuter, one missed stop, and the world on the other side.
The last train home
It is 11:58 PM. Rain on the windows, another deadline tomorrow. You close your eyes for one stop.
A chime wakes you. You tap your transit card on the reader by the doors, and the reader flares violet. Stars pour out of the slot. The floor gives way.
You land in a meadow of giant mushrooms and pudding-shaped hills, face to face with a witch in an enormous hat. Her name is Seraphine. It took her nine tries to summon you. The first eight were a goat.
She hands you the Star Codex, a book of starlight that only an Otherworlder can open. Every hero in Aetheria is bound to a star. With the Codex you can call them to your side, and fight beside them. And somewhere beyond the clouds, a king made of shadow already knows your name.
Your Otherworlder:
Season One: Starbinder
Thirty chapters, five acts, one question: if you save this world, can you still go home?
Act I
The Summoner of Starfall
Chapters 1 to 6
Free the corrupted guardians of Aetheria, from the Royal Jelly Court of Puddingwood to the dragon at the gates of the Abyss Castle. Gather Kuroha, Aurelia, Ragna and Lumi. Learn why your hands glow when you touch the Codex.
Act II
Beyond the Veil
Chapters 7 to 12
Cross into the space between worlds, where the sea reflects your own city at night. Torn journal pages tell you who the Hollow King used to be, and what the Codex really costs.
Act III
The Shattered Stars
Chapters 13 to 18
The stars start to break. One by one, your heroes' own stars flicker, and each of them has to face the thing they never told you.
Act IV
The Last Station
Chapters 19 to 24
A railway of starlight runs through the Veil. Ride it through a station of lost things, a city that remembers you, and the street where you grew up, all the way to the last train home.
Act V
Starbinder
Chapters 25 to 30
Every Otherworlder before you saved Aetheria the same way, and none of them went home. You are going to find another way, or you are going to find out why there isn't one.
Aetheria
A continent of sugar-frosted peaks, mushroom forests and floating ruins, held together by a sky full of bound stars. Tap a land to visit it.
The Star Codex
Every hero in Aetheria is bound to a star. The Codex is the book that reads those stars and calls their heroes across any distance. Only someone born outside Aetheria can open it. That is why the Starfall Circle summons Otherworlders, and why there have only ever been nine of them.
The Starfall Circle
An order of star witches who once ruled from the floating ruins in the northern sky. Seraphine is its last apprentice. Her family has kept a secret about the Codex for a thousand years, and she is very bad at keeping secrets.
The Nightmare
A violet corruption creeping out of the Abyss Castle. It turns gentle guardians into monsters and sweet dreams into bad ones. Wherever it spreads, the stars above go dim.
The Hollow King
The ruler of the Abyss Castle. He was once the brightest star in the Circle, the eighth Otherworlder, a thousand years ago. He watches you from the start. He knows your name. And he left something for you on his throne.
The Veil
The space between your world and Aetheria, built out of memories. Time runs differently there. A thousand years on one side can be a single night on the other.
The Dawn Order
Knights sworn to protect the innocent, led in the field by Aurelia. Their squires are very brave and very short. Their cooks are excellent. Their opinion of Otherworlders is mixed.

You are the Otherworlder
You are not one of the heroes. You are the one who calls them. Choose your look, from hair and eye colour to six full outfits, and change it any time in the Dressing Room.
In battle, your Star Codex charges as your heroes fight. When it's full, you fly in on your mount, unleash a Special across the whole screen, and fly back out. Pick the class that matches how you like to play.
Specials grow with you
Your Special starts simple and gets louder as the story goes on. Each tier adds power and a bigger screen-wide effect.

Six roles in every party

Strikes and raises the whole team's defence. Draws enemy attacks.
Striker
A single devastating hit on one foe.
Ranger
Arrow storms that hit every enemy, twice.
Mage
Meteor showers across the whole battlefield.
Healer
Heals everyone at once. Normal attacks patch up the wounded.
Support
Lifts the team's attack, then joins the fight.
Seven kinds of magic
Six elements run through the heroes of Aetheria. The seventh belongs only to you.
Light
Oaths, shields and healing prayers. The magic of the Dawn Order and the Moonfox Shrine.
Aurelia, Lumi, Toto, Biscuit
Dark
Shadow steps and silent blades. Not evil, just quiet. Mostly.
Kuroha, Rook
Arcane
Raw starlight shaped into spells. Studied in the Starfall Circle, occasionally set on fire.
Seraphine, Nib
Fire
Burning lances and exploding libraries. Fast, loud and hard to take back.
Ragna, Clove
Water
Frost arrows and tidal wards from the snowbound north.
Shiori
Earth
Forest bows, thorn armor and the fighting style of the Mochi Temple.
Pip, Momo, Bramble, Fern
Starlight
The Codex's own magic. It binds stars, calls heroes and powers your Specials. Nobody in Aetheria can use it but you.
The Otherworlder
Talent Disks
Slot up to three disks to add an extra effect every time you use a Special: a meteor, a phoenix revival, a frost nova and more. Star them up as you play.
Familiars
Small, loyal and surprisingly dangerous. One familiar fights beside your party, two more lend their strength from the back line.
Mounts
Your mount carries you into every Special. Some are earned, some are found in the hardest raids.
Free to play. Honestly.
Every chapter, every hero and every mode can be earned without paying. The game plays itself while you're away, so a few minutes a day goes a long way.
Optional purchases include cosmetics, passes and summons. Summons give random heroes, familiars or gear. Every drop rate is listed in the game, and pity guarantees a top-rarity pull within a set number of summons, so you always know the odds before you spend.
SSR hero guaranteed within 80 summons
UR familiar guaranteed within 60 summons
Legendary gear guaranteed within 50 forges
